Geoinformatics section chief at Arizona Geological Survey. I spent years making geologic maps, and have drifted into data base design for geoscience information (NGMDB, NADM), xml interchange formats (GeoSciML), web services, and metadata. Currently working on developing U.S. Geoscience Information Network (USGIN) and data services for the National Geothermal Data System.
